Indiana Congresswoman Susan Brooks Condemns Chemical Attacks in Syria

Brooks says the U.S. must take action to empower the Syrian people and remove Assad from power.

INDIANAPOLIS -- Indiana Congresswoman Susan Brooks spoke yesterday on the House floor at the Statehouse condemning the recent chemical attacks in Syria. She says the U.S. must take action to empower the Syrian people and remove Assad  from power.

"The Assad regime's continued use of chemical weapons on its own people, innocent families and children is despicable," said Brooks. "We can no longer ignore the continued abuse and killing of the Syrian people."

Russia believes that the Assad regime did not attack it's own people, but rather a Syrian airstrike hit a supply of chemical weapons owned by the opposition. President Trump said the killing of innocent children and babies "crosses many, many lines."
