Kerry Makes Unannounced Visit To Afghanistan

(Washington, DC) -- Secretary of State John Kerry is in Afghanistan on an unannounced visit. Kerry is trying to ease political tensions in Afghanistan's disputed presidential election. It is also the first visit by a top member of the Obama administration since this week's killing of a U.S. Army general. Major General Harold Greene was shot and killed by an Afghan soldier at a military complex in Kabul. He's the most senior U.S. military official to be killed in action overseas since the Vietnam War.
