Dodgers put Beckett on DL

Milwaukee, WI (SportsNetwork.com) - The Los Angeles Dodgers put right-hander Josh Beckett on the 15-day disabled Friday and activated newly acquired righty Roberto Hernandez to start against the Milwaukee Brewers.

Beckett went back on the DL with a left hip impingement, the same injury that caused him to miss 15 days last month. He is 6-6 this season with a 2.88 ERA in 20 starts.

Hernandez was acquired from the Philadelphia Phillies on Thursday in exchange for two players to be named later or cash considerations.
