NFL Players Claim League Put Profit Over Player Health

(Undated) -- A group of former NFL players is suing the league, claiming team doctors illegally drugged injured players with pain meds to keep them on the field. Former All-Pro center Jeremy Newberry says he's paying the price for the NFL's win at all costs mentality.
The suit lists eight former players as defendants along with more than 500 other "retained" plaintiffs who played in the NFL between 1969 and 2008.
