The Marion County Health Department has added five more area school districts to the list of school H1N1 vaccination clinics.
Spokesman John Althardt says the health department has a goal of getting vaccine clinics in all public, private, charter, and parochial schools by the end of the school year.
Vaccine clinics will begin at Franklin and Decatur Township schools Monday and in Speedway schools next Wednesday. Clinics are also being planned at Beech Grove and Lawrence Township schools.
Alhardt says the last few days of school clinics have been very successful with the majority of parents completing the forms to allow children to be vaccinated.
He says the majority of kids are receiving the nasal mist, unless the parents or nurse on site determines an existing health concern indicates the child should receive the injectible vaccine instead.
Althardt says parents with questions or concerns about the school vaccine clinics should call the Health Department's flu helpline at 221-3366.
