Super Bowl XLIV was the highest watched show in television history.
More than 106 million people tuned into the game, which surpassed the "M*A*S*H" finale in 1983.
Local CBS affiliate WISH-TV enjoyed huge ratings as well. General Manager Jeff White says his station garnered a 54 rating and an 80 share, which means over 54 percent of central Indiana homes were watching the game.
White says Indianapolis ranked 4th in the country for the most people watching the game. New Orleans was ranked first, followed by Washington, D.C. and Nashville, Tennessee.
