Mike Pence (AP photo)The Indianapolis Tea Party plans a rally on the south steps of the Statehouse Monday in opposition to the health care reform passed by the Senate.

Listen:

President Obama is calling on the House to pass the bill before the end of next week when he's leaving on a foreign trip.

They're not planning to send anyone to Washington, D.C. for the National Tea Party Coalition's "Take the Town Halls to Washington" project. But a major Washington figure will join them in Indianapolis--Indiana's 6th District Congressman Mike Pence, Chairman of the House Republican Conference and a leading opponent of the legislation.

"We want to support him and bring the cavalry in," says Tea Party spokeswoman Diane Hubbard.

Hubbard questions whether government provided health care is constitutional.

"The other really big issue is the cost of it," she says. "This is just not a time to add more cost to our government's load."

She predicts hundreds and maybe thousands of Hoosiers will join the rally at 4:30 Monday afternoon.
