Hendricks Co. Offering Training for Super Bowl Volunteers
The Hendricks County Convention and Visitors Bureau will host two training seminars today to help prepare volunteers and area service providers for the Super Bowl.
The seminars are meant to give information to service and hospitality workers as well as local businesses on how to exceed customers' expectations and give specific information on the events going on during the 10 days leading up to the big game. Jamie Bohler-Smith, Associate Director of the Hendricks County Convention and Visitors Bureau, says even the smallest interaction with visitors can lead to big deals for Central Indiana.

"We've seen situations where we've booked big business out of just a personal interaction from some people at a gas station so it's very important for our community to be ready for that," Bohler-Smith says.
The seminars will be held at Serendipity at Metropolis in Plainfield from 7:30-9am and 2:30-4pm. Registration is required and more information can be found at www.tourhendrickscounty.com/superservice.
Hendricks County will play host to special events during Super Bowl week. Bohler-Smith says they will have a Super Celebration site during the 10 days of the event at Metropolis. She says 70% of lodging in Hendricks County is being allocated to the NFL room block so many game attendees will be in the area.
Bohler-Smith says there will also be transportation available to take visitors to and from downtown where the Super Bowl Village and the NFL Fan Experience will be held during Super Bowl week.
