2011 was a big year for the Indianapolis Super Bowl Host Committee.
Listen:
Committee Spokesperson Dianna Boyce says the committee raised $25 million, trained eight-thousand volunteers, ushered in the arrival of the brand new J.W. Marriott Hotel, created the Legacy Project on the city's east side and made thousands of scarves that'll be worn by volunteers during the big event.
Boyce says volunteers were divided into some 60 different committees and that 2011 was a big year for volunteerism in Indiana.
Boyce adds that more than 150 community leaders have also dedicated much of 2011 to helping make the days leading up to and including the big February 5th event a success.
