Two people were hurt, and the same two have been arrested after a meth lab exploded at a motel in Anderson.
Listen:
Detective Joel Sanderfur with Anderson Police says an explosion rocked a room at the Days Inn on Scatterfield Road around 7:20 am Saturday. While heading to the scene, an Anderson police officer spotted a partially nude man with severe burns in the parking lot of a supermarket near the hotel. He was later identified as Tracy Price II, 31, and Sanderfur says investigators quickly realized he had been making meth inside the hotel room.
Sanderfur says a second suspect, Mellissa Ellingwood, 35, was found a short time later. They were both taken to jail after being treated for burns at a hospital.
No one else was hurt in the explosion and fire.
