A Clay County man reemains in federal custody after appearing in Federal Court on sexual exploitation charges. 39-year old Richard Finkbiner of Brazil waived his preliminary hearing and detention hearing Wednesday in Federal Court in Terre Haute.

U.S. Attorney Joe Hogsett says Finkbiner coerced at least two teen boys into engaging in sexually explicit activity on the internet. Hogsett says Finkbiner may have exploited and blackmailed hundreds of other kids who he'd meet in video chatrooms. Authorities arrested Finkbiner Friday. Hogsett says Finkbiner allegedly captured sexually explicit videos of victims he'd meet online, then allegedly blackmail them into recording videos for him.

Hogsett says the two male victims are both 14 years old, one in Michigan and the other in Maryland.

Authorities say they found thousands of sexually explicit images and videos depicting hundreds of individuals in Finkbiner's home.
