A Bloomington detective wants to know if a southern Indiana man charged with killing two women is connected to the disappearance of IU student Lauren Spierer.
Listen:
The detective was asked to investigate the possible connection after the body of a missing New Albany woman was found buried in Clyde Gibson's backyard.
Investigators dug up 35 year-old Stephanie Kirk's body last Friday. Gibson has not been charged in Kirk's death because the prosecutor is waiting for a detailed report from the coroner. Initial findings suggest Kirk died from strangulation.
Gibson already murder charges for the death of his mother's friend, 75 year-old Christine Whitis, and Karen Hodella, 46, whose body was found along the Ohio River ten years ago.
Spierer vanished last June after a night out with her friends.
