Bloomington Police have their eyes on a missing persons case that appears similar to the case of missing IU student Lauren Spierer.

The Bloomington Herald Times says University of Louisiana Senior Michaela "Mickey" Shunick was last seen leaving a friend's house near campus just before two a.m. May 19th. Those were the same circumstances leading up to the disappearance of Spierer who is also blonde, the same build and about the same age. Shunick is 21. Investigators say surveillance video shows a young woman they believe to be Shunick riding her bike after leaving the home.

They say they're looking for a white pickup truck seen driving through the area around the same time. The bike was later found beneath a bridge in a swamp area 25 miles from the home. Bloomington Police Captain Joe Qualters says they've called Louisiana authorities about the strangely case and are waiting to hear back.
