Investigators are trying to find out what caused a fire at St. Christopher Catholic Church in Speedway. 

The fire started sometime after 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the church at 16th and Lynhurst.  It was brought under control by Speedway and Wayne Township Firefighters in roughly an hour.  Flames were never seen , but witnesses say they saw a large amount of smoke coming from the sanctuary.

No one was hurt, and it isn't clear whether anyone was inside the church when the fire began.  St. Christopher is celebrating it's 75th anniversary this year.
