Center Grove HS Baseball Coach Dave Gandolph
The head baseball coach at Center Grove High School will meet with the school district's Superinendent next week to discuss his future after an incident involving some players being left unattended on a school bus.
Listen:
Dave Gandolph has resisted calls to resign or retire after more than 30 years as the school's baseball coach. Gandolph is in trouble after some junior varsity players complained they were being punished by being left on a bus while varsity players ate at a McDonalds.
Chris Pratt, the president of the local teacher's union, says Gandolph is scheduled to meet with Center Grove Superintendent Richard Arkanoff next Tuesday. Neither Pratt nor Gandolph would comment further. A special meeting of the school board is(was) scheduled for tonight/Wednesday night, but Pratt says Gandolph's status is/was not scheduled to be discussed.
Arkanoff also would not comment, saying he could not talk about a personnel matter.
