Autopsy Confirms Marion Man Was Murdered

An autopsy has confirmed that a Marion man found dead in his home was murdered.
The body was discovered at the home in the 24 hundred block of South Adams Street the afternoon of Friday, July 27th.
Police originally ruled the death suspicious. Now Marion Police Chief Clint Sessoms says the the victim’s autopsy results showed blunt force trauma to the head. Sessoms says investigators believe the murder happened during the course of a robbery in the victim's home. So far his identity has not been publicly released.
All further information concerning the victim, including identification, will come from the Grant County Coroner.
