The attorney for a gay IPS student reinstated after being expelled last Spring says his client has not returned to IPS.

Listen:

Attorney Chris Stoll says Dynasty Young is now attending Indianapolis Metropolitan High School, a charter school. Stoll says the 17-year-old wasn't happy with the conditions of his reinstatement. He was required to attend New Horizon Alternative School rather than his old school Arsenal Technical High School.

Young was expelled after allegedly bringing a stun gun to school to protect himself from bullies. However, Stoll says it was not a stun gun and that school leaders failed to protect Young from relentless bullying. Stoll, an attorney with the National Center for Lesbian Rights, says IPS still hasn't accepted responsibility.

Stoll says they're still exploring options that involve how Young was treated by IPS and how other students can be protected from bullies.
