An Indianapolis HVAC firm has temporarily lost its license to work in the city after an investigation into code violations.
The Office of City Prosecutor and the Department of Code Enforcement say Thiele Heat and Air Condition Company failed to obtain proper permits and hire properly-licensed employees.
The city's probe found the company failed to get the necessary permits over a span of three years, which investigators say gave Thiele an unfair and illegal time and cost advantage over other Marion County HVAC contractors and exposed the public to potential health and safety risks.
Thiele is suspended from working in Marion County for one year, effective August 17.
