The musicians from the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra are now locked out.

The ISO is also cancelling its first two weekends of performances, and negotiating table is closed until Thursday at the earliest. The Musicians local 3 couldn't reach a contract agreement over the weekend. On Saturday, the union proposed a two-month contract extension that was $30,000 different from what the ISO was offering, which would allow more time to reach a settlement, but that was rejected.
Now a musical picket of sorts is set up outside the ISO on the circle during lunch hours, as musicians raise awareness, and down the road, may have to start raising funds. The musicians are now without income, and without health insurance.
