Indiana now has 8 confirmed cases of fungal meningitis. The number went up from 5 cases on Saturday. No deaths have been reported in Indiana.
The CDC reported over 60 cases on it's website Sunday. A total of 7 people have been killed in Maryland, Michigan, Tennessee and Virginia. The cases have been linked to a tainted back pain medication.
The pharmacy at the center of the outbreak is recalling all of its products. The New England Compounding Center had voluntarily recalled three lots of a fungus-contaminated steroid. The pharmacy says the recall of all products is just a precaution, they have no indication any other products are contaminated.
