Since Joe Donnelly is running for Indiana's senate seat, three new candidates look to take his place in Indiana's second district seat in Congress.

Republican Jackie Walorski says she wants to take six years of experience in Indiana's Statehouse to Congress. Walorski says her concern is if she doesn't take what she accomplished in Indiana to Congress, the federal government would consume Indiana and other states.  She says she knows how to balance a budget and work across the aisle to get things done.

Democrat Brendan Mullen says Walorki's "tea party antics" aren't conducive to fixing things in Washington.  Mullen, an Army veteran and small business owner, says Congress wants something, and someone different such as entrepreneurs who know what it's like to make budgets and take care of employees.  He adds that he hopes to challenge his colleagues on both sides of the aisle to work together in the middle, something he says will most likely make his colleagues mad.

Mullen and Walorski are competing against Libertarian Joe Ruiz, who says not having to deal with party leadership will help him get things done in Congress.  He says he's just a person in the community trying to make a change and being closer to the community than his opponents gives him an advantage.
