$20,000 from the Indianapolis Foundation is going to add 6 stops to Garden on the Go.
Listen:
Robin Eggers with I-U Health helps organize the mobile food program, she says lots of different people purchased the discount produce, which she says is not only affordable, but it's healthy and convenient.
Garden on the Go will now have 20 stops on the route to bring affordable healthy produce to people who would otherwise be stuck eating fast food, or at a convenience store.
The program was launched a year and a half ago, to help combat obesity and diabetes in Marion County.
