A IMPD officer has been arrested for driving drunk.  

25-year-old Officer Allen Johnson was pulled over for speeding early Thursday morning in the 5700 block of North Keystone.  The police report indicates the arresting officer noticed the smell of alcohol.  

A blood test administered at Wishard Hospital showed that he had a blood alcohol content of .086.  He was cited for operating a vehicle while intoxicated, speeding 52 miles per hour in a 35 mile per hour zone and driving with an expired license plate on his personal vehicle.  

Johnson has been with the police department since 2009.  He has been placed on administrative leave.
