Various city agencies have set up shop in Southport Presbyterian Church.
That's where they're helping victims of the Richmond Hill house explosion that killed two and wounded numerous others last Saturday. Organizations like the American Red Cross, Citizens Gas and others also have representatives on hand to help displaced residents who may need a variety of services or even supplies.
Cheri Davis says her home was damaged in the blast. She says her four sons are trying to recover, but a couple of them remain afraid. Church Elder Cindy McClain says the church is happy to continue helping needy residents who lost possessions or their entire homes. She says the church will be available to folks as long as they need help.
