Steroid Use In Teens On The Rise

More than a third of teens are using protein powders to try to get an ideal body image, but others are using an very dangerous alternative.

A new study shows that close to 6% of teen boys are trying steroids, but more girls are trying them too.
Dr. Dan Kraft, the Director of Sports Medicine at Riley Hospital for Children says steroids help kids heal, build strength, and recover quickly from workouts, but there are a lot of dangerous side effects, especially for teens. Kraft says girls who use steroids for their physique can end up with masculine features.
The teen boys who use steroids might be subjecting themselves to problems with their reproductive system. The longer you use steroids the higher the chances of maintaining some changes permanently.
