The investigation into the explosion on Indianapolis' south side that killed two and injured many more is now being called a criminal homicide investigation.

Listen to Monday's Press Conference with Mayor Greg Ballard, Indianapolis Homeland Sercurity Director Gary Coons and Marion County Prosecutor Terry Curry:

Marion County Prosecutor Terry Curry says investigators with IMPD and IFD conducted numerous interviews and executed search warrants which led to the change in the investigation.  Few details of the investigation were released but Curry says they are looking for a white van that was seen in the Richmond Hill subdivision on the day of the explosion.

Curry says Crime Stoppers is offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to an arrest.  Additionally, the federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives is offering a reward of up to $10,000 for information leading to an arrest and conviction.  Anyone with information can contact Crime Stoppers at 262-TIPS.

The announcement came on the same day that John "Dion" Longworth and his wife Jennifer were laid to rest.  Indianapolis Mayor Greg Ballard attended the funeral and expressed his condolences to the family.

"I could not even imagine what the families are going through if I could not do it," Ballard said.  "But there is a secular side to this and there is a search for truth and there is a search for justice."

Several others were injured in the blast which officials say caused nearly 4.4 million dollars in damage.
