An Ohio man who says he and his mom lost a half-million dollars to Tim Durham says he wants Durham and partners to do serious jail time.
Donald Russell is a former Summit County, Ohio Sheriff's deputy. He says he remains bitter about losing money to Durham. He blames Durham for his mother's death. Russell says his mom died shortly after she found out she had lost her life savings to Durham. Russell says he knows few if any of the victims will ever recover their money. For that reason, he says he thinks Durham should do well above the five years jail time his attorney John Tompkins is seeking.
Durham faces 225 years after a jury convicted him on numerous wire and securities fraud charges. Prosecutors say he bilked 5000 investors in a $200 million Ponzi scheme.
