The driver of a tanker truck was killed this morning when his vehicle rear-ended a tractor-trailer on northbound Interstate 69 in Anderson.
The tanker jack-knifed and struck the other rig a second time, before rolling and hitting a guardrail. The victim's name has not been released.
The tanker spilled a load of tetra-alkyl ammonium chloride. That's an additive used in the production of asphalt.
All northbound lanes of the interstate were closed while a hazardous materials team cleaned up the spill.
