Indianapolis Metro Police arrested a 15-year-old in connection to Friday night's shooting at Lafayette Square Mall.
IMPD responded to multiple calls of shots fired inside the mall just before 7:00 pm. Officer Linda Jackson says the suspect was located just outside of the mall with six empty .22 caliber shell casings nearby and several live .22 rounds in his pocket.
The suspect is being held at the Juvenile Processing Center for Criminal Recklessness, Possession of a Handgun with No License and Dangerous Possession of a Handgun by a Minor. Authorities say the suspect has a prior conviction for the possession of a handgun with no license charge which elevates the offense to a felony.
No injuries were reported in the incident.
