Governor-elect Mike Pence says his administration is returning to the model of having a leader of the Department of Commerce and a leader of the Indiana Economic Development Corporation.
The Governor-elect has tagged Victor Smith to head the Commerce Department. Smith will lead the state's domestic and international economic development agenda. Smith is the former President and CEO of CDS Engineering.
Pence also named Eric Doden as CEO of the IEDC. Doden most recently worked as a principal of Domo Ventures LLC, a private equity firm in Ft. Wayne. Doden ran for Mayor of Ft. Wayne on the Republican ticket in 2011.
Pence also announced that Sean Keefer has been named Commissioner of Labor, and Dr. William VanNess will be State Health Commissioner. Bruce Lemmon will serve as the Department of Correction Commissioner. Lemmon was appointed to the position in early 2011.
