Metro Police are investigating a shooting that left one man dead on the city's near east side Wednesday night.

Officers were called to the 800 block of North Keystone Avenue around 9:15 p.m. on a report that someone had been shot.  Officers found an unidentified man suffering from gunshot wounds.  He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Detectives believe the victim may have been arguing with an unknonwn number of people prior to the shooting.  An autopsy will be performed by the Marion County Coroner's Office Thursday morning.
