Fishers Wants Input on "True Downtown Experience"


Fishers residents have an opportunity to hear more about the plans to redevelop the downtown.

Town officials have been working with consultants on plans to create what is being called a "true downtown experience" that is walkable and pedestrian friendly. Plans have actually been in the works to redevelop the downtown area since 1992 and officials say the latest plans hopefully reflects the community's goals.

The Department of Community Development is again hosting public open houses to provide information on the downtown planning process, approved plans, graphics and maps.

The open houses are scheduled January 17, 12-2 p.m. and 6-8 p.m.  and February 6, 12-2 p.m. and 6-8 p.m.
