The Indiana State Board of Nursing has voted unanimously to temporarily suspend the nursing license of Richmond Hill suspect Monserrate Shirley.
That amounts to acceptance of an agreement between Shirley and the office of Attorney General Greg Zoeller--who says the suspension will remain in effect until the outcome of her trial is known. A decision on filing a formal licensing complaint will be made at that time.
Shirley and two co-defendants face murder and conspiracy charges filed by the Marion County Prosecutor in alleged scheme to collect insurance by blowing up her home on the south side of Indianapolis. If she is acquitted, Shirley could petition the board to lift the temporary suspension.
