Metro Police have made an arrest in the hit-and-run death of a woman on the city's south side Monday.

50-year-old Greg Hudson of Shelbyville was taken into custody Thursday after police found him and his vehicle in Shelby County.  Investigators credit tips from "members of the community" which helped locate Hudson.

Police found 63-year-old Kathleen Clark dead near the intersection of Meridian Street and Troy Avenue after reportedly being struck by Hudson's vehicle.

Hudson is being held on a preliminary charge of failure to stop after an accident causing death.
