Monserrate Shirley, who prosecutors think is connected to the explosion in the Richmond Hill Subdivision, wants her trial moved out of Marion County, because of media exposure during the pretrial process.
James Voyles, Shirley's attorney, filed a motion Thursday morning requesting the change of venue.
Shirley, her boyfriend, Mark Leonard, and his brother, Bob Leonard, face murder and conspiracy charges for an alleged scheme to collect insurance by blowing up Shirley's home on the south side of Indianapolis. The neighborhood blast killed two people, wounded dozens of others and damaged more than 80 homes in the subdivision.
All three are scheduled to face a jury trial on March 4th.
