Dozens of crashes and slide-offs were reported across central Indiana after morning snowfall made roads slick.
State troopers were working several crashes along Interstate 70 near the 131 mile marker in Henry County.
One lane was blocked after a tractor-trailer struck a pickup truck on the bridge at the 132 mile marker.
"Drivers are not slowing down, which is causing further crashes at this location," state police said in a news release.
Near Greenfield, two tractor-trailers and several cars were involved in crashes.
Plow trucks in and around Indianapolis hit the streets early Friday in preparation.
More than 90 Indiana Department of Transportation trucks prepped interstates and streets after loading up with salt at the Department of Public Works.
