Anderson Police have caught a suspect wanted in a spree of convenience store robberies.
Officers investigated an armed robbery at a Village Pantry early Friday and store employees told police the suspect wore a blue mask and carried a handgun. They say he ordered an employee to hand over some cash and took several packs of cigarettes before running from the store.
Police arrested Jay Paul Crouse Jr., 26, after a traffic stop. He later admitted to the Village Pantry robbery. Officers also found a black BB gun, which Crouse admitted to using in the robbery. Crouse told detectives he is responsible for three armed robberies, on January 22 and 23, and another on January 27.
