IMPD robbery detectives are searching for a suspect in the attempted robbery of a convenience store on the city's west side last week.

Police say the clerk at the Village Pantry in the 3000 block of West Washington Street called 911 on March 21 saying she was being robbed.  She said the suspect walked up to the counter and demanded money, telling the clerk "it's just not worth it."  When the clerk went to walk into the office, the suspect left the store without any money.

Police say the suspect implied he had a weapon, though one was not seen.  No injuries were reported in the incident.

The suspect is described as wearing aviator sunglasses, a dark brown Carhartt jacket over a black hoodie, dark blue jeans and dark tennis shoes with white stripes on the site.  Anyone with information can call Crime Stoppers at 262-TIPS.
