David Bisard Arrested After Accident in Lawrence
Indianapolis Metro Police Officer David Bisard was arrested Saturday afternoon in connection to a single car crash in his neighborhood in Lawrence.
Police say Bisard had a blood alcohol content of .17 when he struck a guardrail and a light post in the 10000 block of Indian Lake Boulevard South.
Bisard is still waiting to go to trial for allegedly driving drunk and causing an accident that killed one person and injured others in 2010. Bisard has been suspended without pay since that time, pending the outcome of his trial. The trial has been moved from Marion County to Allen County.
Although this new arrest cannot be used in the upcoming trial, the arrest could be grounds for court officials to revoke Bisard's bond and leave him in jail until the trial.
