The woman who was mistakenly released from the Marion County Jail Friday on auto theft charges in Hendricks County is now awaiting her next court date.

Marion County Sheriff's Department Spokesperson Katie Carlson says they're still investigating procedures that allowed Brandy Majors to be released. Majors still faces charges in connection with a stolen truck and other items that belonged to a Brownsburg man.

Carlson says Majors was being held in Marion County, but was somehow released. Majors surrendered over the weekend and made an initial appearance in Hendricks County where she was also released from custody Monday. Majors has a pre-trial conference set for September 5th at 8:30 am.
