The father of one of the two Indiana teenagers injured in a parasailing accident in Florida has given an update on his daughter's condition.
Eric Good, father of Sidney Good, said Wednesday afternoon, ”Sidney underwent surgery early this morning at IU Health Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis to repair fractures in her frontal bone around her right eye. Surgeons also repaired sinus and nose fractures as well as replaced the bone flap from an earlier surgery in Florida. Doctors report that the surgeries went well and will be placing her back in ICU for close observation tonight. Depending on how well she does, Sidney could be on her way to the rehab hospital in Indianapolis in 3 to 4 days."
Sidney and her friend Alexis Fairchild were both injured when their parasailing cable snapped on July 1. They hit a building before running into a parked car. Good returned to Indiana earlier this week. Fairchild was moved to the Rehabilitation Hospital of Indiana last week.
"Again, we would like to thank everyone for all of the support and prayers during this tough time in our lives," Eric Good said. "We have been talking with Sidney the past few days and she is aware of all of the support and prayers from around the world for her and Alexis. She is humbled by the attention and said, it is amazing.”
