Anderson Mayor Excited for Colts Training Camp

The city of Anderson is ready to welcome the Indianapolis Colts back to town.

The team arrives at Anderson University this weekend for the start of training camp.   The workouts are free for fans to watch and Colts City returns to offer interactive inflatables and the opportunity to win game tickets.   The Colts are also introducing a Kids Day on August 4th.

Changes to the schedule could happen, so fans are advised to check before driving to Anderson. Mayor Kevin Smith says the city is proud to be hosting the Colts again.

"We appreciate them coming to Anderson and they add a dimension to Indiana that is very important," Smith says.  "Hoosiers have a great team in the Colts and, of course, we're the Colts' biggest fans in Anderson."

Last year's camp brought more than 27,000 fans to the area, generating millions of dollars for Anderson's economy.
