Avon Police and the FBI are investigating a robbery at the Hendricks County Bank & Trust.

Avon Assistant Police Chief Bill Weems says two men wearing masks entered the bank shortly before 11 a.m. and demanded money.  They left the bank with an undisclosed amount of money and fled in a maroon van. The two left the van at the entrance to El Bethel Baptist Church and fled on foot.

They are described as two black men, one around 6' tall.  The other suspect is shorter. One has an athletic build and the other was described as "heavy set."

Police used K-9's to search the area, but the suspects were not found.  Area schools were locked down during the search.
