
Joe Ulery is WIBC Assignment Editor. He chooses the stories the news team covers each day. In this role, Joe manages the newsroom each morning. Beginning in January 2010 he also began hosting his own 2-hour show on Saturdays from 5-7pm.
Joe started at WIBC as a part-time news anchor in 2003, but became a full-time employee in early 2007 and moved to the morning show in October 2007.
A Logansport native, Joe began his radio career in 1989 in his hometown at WSAL-AM and WLHM-FM. He has also worked at radio stations in Peru, Kokomo, and Lafayette.
Joe has won numerous awards for broadcasting, including honors from the Associated Press and Indiana Broadcasters Association. He was awarded 2008 Best Breaking News Coverage in radio by the IBA and won Best Radio Series for his "All Things Green" series on helping our environment.
Joe attended IU Kokomo and continued his Communications Degree at IUPUI. He lives in Lapel.
When not working, Joe spends time playing with his Cocker Spaniels, Gracie and Bentley.
