Brian Kilmeade of Fox and Friends joins the show. We start off by getting his thoughts on NFL players taking a knee during the national anthem.
Brian makes the point that there was never a clear message on why NFL players, specifically Colin Kaepernick, started kneeling.
“Overall, I just think that whatever the issue was, Colin Kapernick winged it, others backed him when he spoke about it. Now he doesn’t have a job this year and suddenly 12 people are sitting out… If Colin Kaepernick didn’t wing it one day and sit on the bench we wouldn’t even be discussing it. That means it’s not organic.”
We then move on to Jimmy Kimmel. Recently, the late night talk show host went off on Brian during his open monologue. Brian shares his thoughts on the situation.
“As [Jimmy] would have these assumptions about the bill, we’d get the writers of the bill a chance to answer. He didn’t like the [intro] to one interview I did with Senator Graham so he goes after me personally…. I haven’t seen him in 5 or 6 years and he goes and takes one of the intros to one of my interviews and goes after me personally. I had to decide if it was worth responding to.”
