Missing Sellersburg, Ind Man Found Dead

David Cox was found in his car Wednesday morning

CLARK COUNTY, Ind- A missing elderly man from Sellersburg was found dead Wednesday afternoon. A rest park attendant working at a rest area along northbound I-65 near the 22-mile marker in Clark County called state police after they found the man unconscious inside a car parked at the rest area around 12:30 pm. 81-year-old David Cox of Sellersberg was dead inside his 1995 Ford Probe. 

He had been missing since Tuesday afternoon. A Silver Alert was issued for Cox on Tuesday. The last time he was seen alive October 2 at around 6 pm. He was considered to be in extreme danger and in need of medical help.  Indiana State Police said that no foul play is suspected in his death since they did not find any signs of trauma on his body. The investigation, however, remains ongoing.
