FBI Thwarts Terrorist Attack Planned For Christmas Day In San Francisco

They say the target was crowded Pier 39 and was inspired by the New York terror attack on October 31st

SAN FRANCISCO -- The FBI is accusing a California man of plotting a terror attack in San Francisco on or around Christmas Day.

They arrested Everitt Aaron Jameson earlier this week at his home, where they say they found several firearms and fireworks.

They say he was targeting the crowded Pier 39 and was inspired by the New York terror attack on October 31st when a man drove into a crowd of people.

Court documents say the arrest was based on pro-ISIS and pro-terrorism social media postings and comments Jameson made to an undercover agent.
