Pacers Lose to Timberwolves in New Year's Eve Game
INDIANAPOLIS--The Pacers New Year's Eve match-up against the Timberwolves ended in a disappointment. The final game of 2017 was a 107 to 90 loss for Indiana. The team's shot in the arm this year has been guard Victor Oladipo's scoring. But, he's out with a knee injury.
"I feel like it just one of those things. We're coming out slow right now," said backup point guard Joe Young. "But, I feel like we're gonna overcome the adversity and get the intensity going back in. We're staying positive."
Young, who slept on the practice court earlier this season, had a career high of 20 points scored Sunday.

"We talked about it earlier in the season, even before the season started that there would be some tough times," said forward Damien Wilkins. "Only way to get out of those tough times is to remain tough and stay together. Don't lose confidence. Don't lose hope and don't fragment."
The Pacers have been on a losing streak since Oladipo's untinely sidelining. Head Coach Nate McMillian said over the weekend that Oladipo won't be back until he's fully recovered, but did not give a timeline. He only said Oladipo needs to rest his knee.
"We're not the only team goes through tough stretches like this and it won't be the last," said Wilkins.
