Indiana Attorney General Todd Rokita still isn’t over his feud with IndyPolitics.org’s Abdul-Hakim Shabazz.

Thursday morning, Shabazz received a press release from the Attorney General’s Office, stating that Rokita would be making an announcement involving a robocall lawsuit.

Shabazz RSVP’d to the event and headed over to the Statehouse to attend the news conference.

“Todd’s press secretary was outside the door when I got there, and he told me I couldn’t come in because I was not credentialed media,” Shabazz wrote in a blog post. “My jaw dropped to the floor.”

IndyPolitics.org:

I told him I was “credentialed media,” and I showed him my press badge,  which by the way I got from the Indiana Department of Administration, but he said I wasn’t allowed in since I wasn’t credentialed. So I shook my head and said okay and posted what had happened to social media.

Shabazz told WIBC’s Jason Hammer Friday it was obvious that the gentleman who denied him access to Rokita’s press conference was just following orders.

“I could tell from his body language that he wasn’t crazy about having to do it, but he obviously had orders from higher up.”

The Attorney General’s beef with Shabazz dates back to Rokita’s 2018 run for the U.S. Senate. Abdul explains in the clip below.
