A “podcast” describes a very simple concept: an audio file available on the Internet for you to listen to.
A podcast can also refer to a series of these audio or video files (similar to how a radio “show” can be a series of shows or just one show).
When using the word “podcast,” most people refer to the entire series and not just one audio file.
No. The links to specific podcast "episodes" on this page can be clicked on, and your media player of choice will play the audio on-demand.
You also can choose to "subscribe" to specific podcasts and have future episodes downloaded directly to your computer using iTunes or other podcasting software. There are many free podcasting programs available.
Once you've subscribed to a podcast, your podcast software will periodically check our site, automatically, to see if a new episode is available. If there is, the software will download the new episode to your computer. This saves you time, and you're sure to get the latest episode as soon as it is available.
